BRUCE KINNELL
Bruce brings over 30 years of fire service expertise to his role as a public consultation specialist at Behr. His career with the City of Calgary Fire Department, which spanned from Training Officer to District Chief, has given him a deep understanding of hazard risk assessments, emergency response, and public safety. Bruce retired from the Calgary Fire Department as a District Chief in 2018. He was awarded a 25-year Canadian Exemplary Service medal and bar.
His emergency response expertise involves interface wildfires, floods, tornadoes, train derailments, urban search and rescue, and he brings this depth of experience to Behr's focus on addressing community concerns and ensuring preparedness in the oil and gas sector. His ability to communicate critical information clearly and lead in high-stakes situations supports his role in facilitating transparent, productive consultations with the public.
